The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied the rumours that the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello has tactically withdrawn his support for the presidential candidate of his party, Bola Tinubu.
VANTAGE NEWS reports that rumours were rife that Bello had quietly dumped Tinubu and was working for the emergence of Atiku as the next president.
The APC in a statement on Sunday signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the reports were false.
Recall that a source that spoke with Sunday Tribune disclosed that the stand of Governor Bello who is the National Youth Coordinator of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council was because the lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, James Faleke, may contest for the governorship ticket of the party.
The APC described the story as maliciously false and a figment of the imagination of its author and sponsors.
