The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has suspended its eight-month strike.
VANTAGE NEWS reports that the decision to suspend the strike was taken at the National Executive Council meeting held overnight at the union’s secretariat in Abuja.
Although the union is yet to release an official statement, a source who spoke with our correspondent confirmed that the strike has been suspended.
The source stated that an official statement will be made available to the public in the coming hours.
