A former National Chairman of the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Vincent Ogbulafor has died.
VANTAGE NEWS reports that Ogbulafor, the first National Secretary of the PDP died in Canada on Thursday.
Ogbulafor reportedly died at the age of 73 from an undisclosed ailment.
The former chairman hailed from Olokoro, in Umuahia South local government of Abia State.
He was born on May 24, 1949, and died Thursday night.
Ogbulafor was the first PDP’s National Secretary before becoming National Chairman after a bitter national battle between Senator Sam Egwu and Senator Anyim Pius Anyim.
However, he was forced to resign as PDP national chairman after falling out with top individuals in the government.
He became PDP national chairman March 8, 2008, and was later succeeded as national chairman by the former governor of Enugu State, Okwesilieze Nwodo.
