The Spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, has said he does not know the current location of the party’s presidential candidate Bola Tinubu.
VANTAGE NEWS reports that there has been rumours that the former governor of Lagos State has been in London allegedly recovering from an unknown sickness.
His absence reportedly led to the postponement of the formal kickoff of the party’s presidential campaign.
Speaking as a guest on Channels Tv ‘Politics Today’ on Wednesday night, Keyamo admitted that Tinubu is out of the county and will be back in a couple of days.
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment also dismissed speculations that Tinubu was on a medical trip to a foreign country.
Keyamo also refuted claims that the ruling party has not started campaigns because Tinubu is sick and is out of the country, stressing that only mischief makers wan to know Tinubu’s whereabout.
He said, “Our candidate is not in the country currently and I don’t have any information on where he is. I know he will be back in a couple of days but I don’t know the particular day.
“He is also not on a medical trip; I don’t have such information. It is not true that we have not started campaigns because the candidate is sick and is not around.”
