The Spokesperson of the Presidential Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Festus Keyamo, has revealed why the party’s candidate, Bola Tinubu is yet to grant live interviews.
VANTAGE NEWS reports that Keyamo’s statement comes following reports that credited a statement to Tinubu as saying he was not doing live television interviews like his main opponents because he “is contesting for Nigerian President, not Media President.”
A video of Arise TV’s presenter, Reuben Abati where he openly invited the former governor of Lagos State to a live interview had also recently trending.
Reacting, Keyamo, who is also the Minister of State for Employment and Labour defended his candidate, saying that campaign was yet to officially kick off.
He asked Nigerians to exercise patience because Tinubu will appear countless times on live interviews.
Speaking on Monday with Vanguard, Keyamo described the reports that Tinubu was shying away from live interviews as false.
He said, “campaigns have not started. The Nation will hear from him again and again and again.”
