Popular social media activist, Deji Adeyanju has revealed that former President Olusegun Obasanjo is supporting the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi ahead of the 2023 election.
VANTAGE NEWS had reported that Obi met with Obasanjo alongside other top politicians such as the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, and his Abia and Benue counterparts, Okezie Ikpeazu and Samuel Ortom, in London on Thursday.
Reacting in a post shared on his Twitter page on Thursday, Adeyanju said the Obasanjo has been reaching out to international stakeholders to support the former governor of Anambra State.
However, Adeyanju dismissed the impact of Obasanjo’s support, stating that Obi would come a distant third in the election.
He tweeted, “I have information and those who know me know this. OBJ is supporting Obi 100% and I said this days ago.
“Baba has been the one calling people all over the place for Obi; from PDP governors to international connects and even people that can help fund the campaign but Obi will still come distant 3rd. Do you wanna bet?”
