In Nigeria, the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC has revoked the licences of AIT, Silverbird TV, Raypower FM, and Rhythm FM amongst others.
Vantage News learnt that the licences of the broadcast media organisations was revoked over failure to meet up with the renewal requirements.
The Director General of the commission, Mallam Balarabe Shehu further ordered its state offices to liaise with security agencies to ensure the shut down of the operation of the stations is enforced within the next 24 hours.
