The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is set to meet with the Federal Government later today (Tuesday) over the ongoing strike by the union.
According to the national president of the union, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke who spoke on Monday, said the union and the Federal Government are meeting to address its demands which led to the ongoing strike.
Osodeke while speaking during an interview on Channels TV on Monday, said ASUU will call off the strike if the Federal Government agreed to its demands at the meeting.
“If we go into that meeting tomorrow and the government says, what you have bargained for, we are willing to sign, the strike will be called off,” Osodeke said.
