World Cup: Falconets Beat Korea, Qualify For Quarterfinals (See Details)

Nigeria’s Falconets continued their impressive start to the ongoing FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Chile with a 1-0 win against South Korea.

Esther Onyenezide’s goal in the 83rd minute secured maximum points for the side led by Christopher Danjuma

The Falconets has 6 points from their opening two games which is enough to take them to the quarterfinals.

Recall that the girls defeated European champions, France by a lone goal in their first match of the tournament.

The game against South Korea who defeated Canada 2-0 in their opening fixture was played late on Sunday, August 14, 2022.

Nigeria would face Canada in their last group game in the early hours of Wednesday, August 17, 2022.
