The Spokesman for the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Hakeem Baba Ahmed has replied a social media user who accused him of selling candidacy of Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, to the Northerners.
VANTAGE NEWS reports that a Twitter user had claimed that Baba-Ahmed would benefit from the presidency of the former Governor of Anambra State.
The Twitter user also added that the NEF spokesman was condemning South East leaders in order to promote candidacy of the LPs flag bearer.
The user had tweeted, “You need to understand that Dr. Hakeem Baba Ahmed undoubtedly benefit more when Obi/datti wins the Presidency. However, he needs to sells obi to Northerners to achieve that, thus, he is asking South East leaders to condemn the attack so that he can tell Northerners that Obi can trusted.”
In his reply, Baba-Ahmed explained thatbhe can only decide to sell candidates that are capable of good leadership.
He wrote, “I do not sell candidates until they meet my standards of potentials in good leadership. There is nothing in it for me personally”.
