The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, on Monday, met with Governors of the ruling party at his residence in Lagos.
VANTAGE NEWS reports that the former Governor of Lagos State met with the governors to strategise ahead 2023 general election.
Kashim Shettima, the vice presidential candidate of the party was also present at the meeting held behind closed doors.
The Governors present at the meeting include Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi State), Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, Nasir El-Rufai (Kaduna State), Jigawa State Governor, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje.
It was gathered that Tinubu would use the opportunity to set up his presidential campaign committee as campaigns are set to begin soon.
The ruling party’s candidate will contest against the likes of Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
