Buhari Makes Two New Appointments (See Details)

President Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed the appointment of Augustine Chukwu Umahi as Secretary of Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

Buhari also appointed Tijjani Yahaya Kaura as Managing Director of the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA).

VANTAGE NEWS reports that the new appointees are expected to serve for an initial term of four and three years respectively.

The appointment was confirmed in a statement issued on Wednesday (today) by the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).

The statement reads, “President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, has approved the following new appointments: Tijjani Yahaya Kaura, Managing Director of Oil & Gas Free Zones Authority, for an initial term of three (3) years effective from18th July;

“Mr Augustine Chukwu Umahi, Secretary, Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation & Fiscal Commission for an initial term of four (4) years from 6th July 2022.

“Also, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the renewal of the appointment of Captain Junaid Abdullahi, Executive Secretary, Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA), for a final term of four (4) years with effect from22nd September 2022.

“The President congratulates all the appointees and urged them to bring their wealth of experience to bear on their appointments.”
