Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has stated that over 18 million northerners listen to BBC Hausa service every week.
Omokri was reacting to a statement made by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar that 90 percent of northern votes do not use Twitter and other social media platforms.
In a tweet, Omokri who has always accused supporters of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi of on;y being visible on Twitter, added that many Twitter users do not know there is life outside the social media platform.
