Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has promised to expose the truth about what transpired in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as the party’s 2023 presidential candidate.
Wike made the promise on Saturday in a statement in a post on his Twitter page.
The Rivers State governor was favoured by many to be the running mate to the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku who defeated him in the primary, but the former vice president shocked many as he went ahead to pick the governor of Delta State Ifeanyi Okowa instead.
How Wike felt following the action by Atiku has since been shrouded in controversy but the Rivers State Governor has promised to expose everything.
He said, “On Atiku, I will speak soon and Nigerians will know the actual truth of all that has transpired in the PDP in recent times.”
Wike had yet to openly say anything about what transpired after the incident but some of his associates and loyalists including Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State have come out to say Wike is angry with the PDP leadership as he feels cheated.
They also demanded that both Atiku and the PDP must apologize to Wike.
