The Governor of Osun State and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Gboyega Oyetola has been declared winner in the polling unit of the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola.
Oyetola’s victory at the polling unit on Saturday came despite the absence of Aregbesola who is his predecessor in the state.
Aregbosola a former governor in the state has travelled to Germany and was not around to cast his vote.
The APC governorship candidate who is seeking reelection polled 164 votes while his closest rival, the candidate of the PDP, Adeleke gathered 134 votes.
Vantage News earlier reported that the governorship candidate of PDP, Adeleke won his polling unit.
Adeleke polled 218 votes in his polling unit on Saturday.
The state Governor, Oyetola polled 23 votes while Dr Akin Ogunbiyi of Accord Party had one vote.
