The Super Falcons of Nigeria qualified for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and made it to the semi-finals of the ongoing Africa Women’s Championship after defeating the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon by a lone goal.
Rashidat Ajibade scored the only goal in the second half to ensure victory for the 9-time African champions.
See what Nigerians on Twitter are saying following the victory:
Randy Waldrum has silenced a lot of doubters with this victory against Cameroon. Came into a very unbalanced super falcons side in 2020. His influence in American soccer brought the likes of Onumonu, Alozie, the Payne sisters & Plumptre to the Nigerian Team. Key players rn. pic.twitter.com/U3XG3HDCjM

Super Falcons of Nigeria owns female football in Africa, no other team comes close.
When we lost Asisat Oshoala, many thought we would struggle but Rasheedat Ajibade has been on fire ever since.
Cameroon 0 vs 1 Nigeria
