Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed has officially been unveiled as the vice-presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
VANTAGE NEWS reported that Labour Party national chairman, Julius Abure, on Thursday said the unveiling of Baba-Ahmed who is a former senator and founder of Baze University will be done in Abuja on Friday.
The presidential candidate of the party, Peter Obi, Abure, and other top party members were present at the official unveiling of Baba-Ahmed as the preferred running mate in Abuja.

Recall that a former presidential aide, Doyin Okupe formally withdrew as the running mate to Obi after the party finally chose Baba-Ahmed. He was the party’s place holder pending the selection of Obi’s running mate.
Okupe had announced his withdrawal in a post on his Twitter page on Thursday.
He wrote: “This afternoon I submitted my withdrawal letter from the position of the Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party to INEC.
“A replacement will be announced by the national chairman of the party shortly. I feel greatly blessed to have been part of the foundation of success for the Labour Party.“
