The Nigerian correctional facility in Kuje Federal Capital Territory Abuja popularly known as Kuje Prison is reportedly under attack by unknown gunmen.
The attackers were said to have come to the facility around 10 PM and started shooting heavily.
The is coming just within minutes it was reported that President Muhammadu Buhari’s convoy was attacked in Katsina by suspected bandits.
Kuje prison which is famous for holding high-profile offenders was established in 1989 and it has a minimum and maximum holding cells where inmates are kept.

The update is that Gunmen reportedly targeted Kuje Prison in Abuja. Residents are advised to stay safe as joint security forces engage in gun battle.
