The National Examination Council, NECO, has advised candidates sitting for the 2022 school-based examination to disregard speculations that the examination has been postponed to a later date.
NECO announced that the 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination for school-based candidates will commence on Monday, June 27, 2022 as earlier scheduled.
In a statement signed by the Head of Information and Public Relations Division of the council, Azeez Sani, made available to newsmen in Minna on Saturday, NECO enjoined stakeholders to disregard speculations suggesting the postponement of the examination to a later date.
“State Ministries of Education, Principals, Commandants and all stakeholders are enjoined to disregard any speculation on the alleged postponement of the examination,”
The head of information also stated that measures to ensure a seamless conduct of the examination has been put in place.
“The Council has put all necessary measures in place to ensure a seamless conduct of the 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination.”
The statement further revealed that the school-based examination would end on August 12, 2022.
