The main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held its governorship primaries across the country on Wednesday and winners have emerged.
It did not come without some disgruntlement though as many party bigwigs saw themselves outwitted. For instance, former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu had to withdraw from the governorship race in Enugu State, same with Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe in Abia State.
It is understood that some of the contestants who are not happy with the outcome of the exercise in their respective states are already thinking of jumping ships.

Apart from states where the governorship election is not holding in 2023, there are few states where the PDP has not conducted the governorship primary, and results from such states would be added here as soon as the party conducts the primary.
