The Minister of State for Education, Chukuemeka Nwajiuba has submitted his resignation letter to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Nwajiuba resigned his position because he is seeking to be elected as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A source told VANTAGE NEWS that Buhari confirmed he has received Nwajiuba’s resignation letter at Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting that he presided over at the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja.
VANTAGE NEWS had reported that Buhari also ordered all cabinet members seeking elective positions to resign on or before Monday, May 16, 2022.
