Dr Bilikis Babarinde has asked an Ibadan Customary Court to jail her husband, Prof. Sikiru Babarinde for reportedly refusing to obey a court order asking him to pay the school fees of his children.

Bilikis Babarinde, who is a lecturer at the University of Ibadan, through her counsel, Olufemi Adegboroye, on Monday, informed the Grade A Customary Court to jail her husband in a case of marriage dissolution, insisting that the application was filed because the respondent failed to obey the court order on payment of his three children’s fees.

Adegboroye said Sikiru Babarinde who is a lecturer at the Department of Early Childhood and Educational Foundations of UI, only paid the school fees in the first term but refused to do in the second term.

VANTAGE NEWS reports that Bilikis Babarinde had earlier told the court to dissolve their 20-year marriage because it had totally broken down.
