The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has announced his interest in contesting for the 2023 presidential seat.
Amaechi, who had on several occasions denied being interested in the race, declared his intention to contest on Saturday (today) at a thanksgiving service organised by the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress.
The former Rivers State governor joins the likes of Bola Tinubu (South-West); Orji Uzor Kalu (South-East); Rochas Okorocha (South-East); Dave Umahi (South-East); and Yahaya Bello (North-Central) to officially declare interest in the race.
Amaechi said, “I stand before you today to declare my intention and submit my application to serve as your next president.”
