Outrage As 12-Year-Old Girl Jumps From Storey Bulding While Escaping Rape From Boss

A 12-year-old house girl escaped death yesterday after jumping from a storey building in an attempt to escape from her boss who tried to rape her.

VANTAGE NEWS learnt that the incident happened in Ifite, Awka, the Anambra State capital.

A Facebook user, Ify Unachukwu, said the girl fractured her tibia and is in critical condition at the hospital.

She wrote, “A 12-year-old house help jumped down the window of a storey building to escape rape by her ‘Oga’.

“She sustained fracture on her leg bone (tibia). Now, she has been moved from Climax Specialist Hospital, Awka, to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku. She is presently in a critical condition, after escaping.”

The state police spokesman, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident to The Punch, adding that the culprit had been arrested.

“The suspect is in our custody and investigation has begun please,” he said.

VANTAGE NEWS correspondent who visited the area learnt that residents outraged by the ugly incident attempted to lynch the man.
