Tudun Abiola, a daughter of the acclaimed winner of the 1993 presidential election, M.K.O Abiola, has blasted her half-sister, Hafsat Abiola-Costello, for comparing the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello to their late father.
VANTAGE NEWS reports that Abiola-Costello, who is the director-general of the Governor Bello presidential campaign organisation had on Sunday while featuring on Arise TV, said the similarities between her father and Bello made her accept to work for him.
Apparently unhappy with the comparison, Tudun Abiola who is a broadcast journalist, described the comments made by her sister as, “staggeringly inappropriate.”
She added that her sister would “throw their father under the bus” just to score cheap political point for the Kogi Governor who is aspiring to be the next president of the country.
Further describing the situation as “unfortunate” Tudun Abiola said her half sister should focus on enlightening Nigerians on the plans of Bello
She said, “Come out and talk about your principal, his antecedents, his plans for the future of Nigeria and leave daddy out of it. It is not her right, not her name.
“It is our name and it is also the name of future generations of Abiola yet unborn who should be proud of the legacy.”
