The ongoing national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had a new development as six persons vying for the position of the National Chairman stepped down from the contest.
VANTAGE NEWS reports that the six former contestants have backed Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the aspirant chosen by President Muhammdu Buhari as the consensus candidate.
The decision of the candidates was contained in a letter sent to the Chairman of the APC Election Sub-Committee on Friday.
Senator George Akume, who was also among those vying for the position signed the letter.
