Logistics Business Owners In PortHarcourt Set To Protest Ban

Owners of logistics businesses in PortHarcourt, the Rivers State capital have fixed Tuesday, March 22, 2022 to protest against the ban placed on their operations by Governor Nyesom Wike.

VANTAGE NEWS reports that Wike had during his new year address banned the use of motorcycles by logistics companies in the state capital.

Our correspondent gathered that those worse hit by the ban were logistic companies who rely on motorbikes for delivery of goods and services to their customers in the state.

Since the ban too effect, the state task force have been clamping down on motorbikes, including those used by private delivery companies.

The planned protest is scheduled for 10:am on Tuesday, March 22 and is set to begin at Garrison bustop in PortHarcourt.
