Ex-Super Eagles player, Daniel Amokachi has thrown a jibe at Nigeria’s opponent in the forthcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier, Ghana, over the controversy on the stadium to use for the first leg encounter.
VANTAGE NEWS reports that Ghana is yet to get a venue barely two weeks to the crucial game.
The Cape Coast stadium submitted to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) by the Ghana Football Association was recently used to mark Ghana’s independence day and is in bad shape.
In a viral video, Amokachi, who was at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja stated that Nigeria was ready to face the Black Stars at the venue.
He then threw a jibe at Ghana, saying they are still confused.
Amokachi said, “We are at the Moshood Abiola stadium and we are ready. Look at how beautiful the pitch is; look at how beautiful the stadium is. We are ready,” Amokachi said in the video.
“And some people are still looking for a venue, some people are under confusion. You know who I’m talking about.”
