Lagos Govt Obeys MC Oluomo, Suspends NURTW From Parks, Nigerians React

Governor Sanwo-Olu and MC Oluomo

The Lagos State Government has suspended the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) from parks in the state.

In a statement, the state government announced it was concerned about the ongoing fight over the control of the union.

The decision comes after Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo was suspended by the NURTW over alleged meddlesomeness in Union matters, as well as a protest staged by his supporters during which they accused the union at the national level of unnecessarily interfering in the state affairs.

Following his suspension as the Chairman of Lagos State chapter of the union, Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, in a press conference, asked Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to take over the running of all parks and garages in the state.

Nigerians on Twitter have been reacting.
