Nollywood superstar actress, Genevieve Nnaji has reportedly bought a luxury apartment reportedly said to be worth over N700million in the sophisticated Bourdillon neighbourhood of Ikoyi, Lagos State.
Breaking the news on the Internet, Instagram blogger, Cutie Julls, said that Nnaji named her new house, “Playhouse,” which according to her was meant for her relaxation and hanging out with friends.
Though the actress is yet to confirm this gist herself, fans and well-wishers of the screen goddess who reacted to the post, hailed her, saying Nnaji was one celebrity who doesn’t always flaunt money on social media.
One Instagram fan of hers with the handle darkowaa_okine, wrote: “No noise, no drama, no scandals. In her lane, and winning. Who doesn’t love Genevieve?”
Chicapparelhub_ simply, another Instagram user commented: “Silent mover.”
Genevieve is one of the oldest and most respected Nollywood actors, and she has also won many awards in recognition of her mastery of the acting profession.
The Imo State-born movie star won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in 2005, becoming the first actor to win the award. In 2011, she was honoured as a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic by the Nigerian government for her contributions to Nollywood.
Her directorial debut movie, Lionheart, is the first Netflix originated from Nigeria and the first Nigerian submission for the Oscars. The movie was disqualified for having most of its dialogue in English.
