Ohamadike Awards Scholarship To 5 Indigenes Of Nsukka Community

Five indigenes of Echara community in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State on Sunday,  benefited from the scholarship scheme of Honourable Gozie Okonkwo popularly known as Ohamadike.

Recipients of the awards include 3 medical students and 2 law students.

The medical students, Onah Chibuike, Ozioko Mmesomma, and Ugwoke Chinedu were given N250,000 each while the law students, Ozioko Clinton and Ibe Confidence, received N200,000 each.

VANTAGE NEWS reports that the scholarship runs from this academic year till they graduate.

Traditional ruler of Echara Nsukka Autonomous Community, HRH Igwe Christopher Ezeugwu joined Ohamadike in presenting cheques to the beneficiaries.

The beneficiaries were advised to study hard and not to fail exams as the scholarship does not include any class repeated.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Peter Onah expressed gratitude to  Ohamadike for the award.

The scholarship programme is facilitated by Echara Nsukka Town Union.
