European champion, Chelsea will begin their quest for a first Club World Cup title when they face Asian Champions, Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia today in the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup taking place in the United Arab Emirates.

The Blues travelled to Abu Dhabi after their hard-fought FA Cup win against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

Recall that Chelsea failed to lift the trophy back in 2012 after losing to Brazilian side, Corinthians.

The match against Al Hilal is a semi final encounter, meaning that the winner will face Brazilian side, Palmieras who qualified for the final after beating 10-man African champions, Al Ahly of Egypt on Tuesday.

The time for the match is at 17:30 (Nigerian Time) on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.

The match will be played at the Mohammad Bin Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Bayern Munich won the most recent edition of the Club tournament, which features the champions of the six continental confederations along with the top team in the host nation.
