A senator that represented Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has condemned the continuous detention of Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo aka Igboho.
It was reported that Igboho, who has been in detention in Benin Republic for illegal entry was handed a 6-month extension of his stay in prison by the authorities in the West African country.
Reacting via his official Twitter handle, Sani, while noting that he doesn’t support Igboho’s separatist ideas ‘but the reported extension of his detention by six months is inhuman and condemnable.

Igboho was arrested alongside his wife who was later released while fleeing in Benin Republic after his Oyo home was raided by security operatives over his continuous separatist agitation.
It was alleged that illegal arms were recovered after his home was raided.
