The exchange rate between the naira and the US dollar opened at ₦415.42/$1 on Friday, January 28, 2022, after it closed at ₦416.33 to a $1 on Thursday, January 27, 2022, going by the data at the FMDQ Security Exchange where forex is traded officially.

Dollar To Naira Exchange At Black Market

Information from Bureau De Change (BDC) indicates that exchange rate for a dollar to naira at Lagos Parallel Market (Black Market) sees players buy a dollar for N567 and sell for N570 on Friday morning, January 27, 2022.

It is important, however, to note that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognise the parallel market (black market), having directed individuals who want to engage in Forex to approach their respective banks
