President Muhammadu Buhari has postponed his visit to Zamfara State earlier scheduled for Thursday.
According to the governor of the state, Bello Mattawale, Buhari postponed the visit due to poor weather conditions that affected his flight to the state.
The governor also said that a new date for the President’s visit to the state would be announced later.
Buhari was slated to visit the state today to sympathise with the government and the people of the state over the killings of innocent lives by terrorists.
The arrangement was that the President will enter the state from Sokoto State where he was to commission some projects but he went back to Abuja leaving the people of Zamfara waiting for his arrival to no avail.
The Zamfara State Government had put adequate security measures in place to ensure a peaceful visit as some roads and the motor parks were shut down for some hours.
