Some Nigerians have taken to Twitter to urge the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to zone the 2023 presidential ticket to the South.
VANTAGE NEWS reports that the issue of zoning is a top debate in the party ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Despite its party chairman emerging from the North, it was reported that there is an agreement to hand the chairmanship to the deputy who is from the South if the presidential candidate emerges from the North.

This #PDPSouthernPresident hashtag is funny, my point still stand, if we must zone it to the South, then, the South East or South South should have it across parties, not just PDP. Because that's what justice demands.

I'm sure APC will zone the party's presidency to the SOUTH and it will be absolutely foolhardy for PDP to allow a northerner have it.
I am 💯% for #PDPSouthernPresident and will campaign and vote south if Atiku picks the ticket.
