A group, Northern Conscience 4’2023, on Thursday, asked the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, to allow younger candidates to contest for the 2023 presidential seat.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja, the National Coordinator of NC4’2023, Garus Gololo, asked Tinubu to ‘maintain his position as a party leader whose focus should be to groom the younger ones.
VANTAGE NEWS had reported that the former Lagos State Governor on Monday, informed President Muhammadu Buhari of his intention to run for the 2023 presidential seat.
Acknowledging the right of every member to contest the election, the group said the results of nationwide consultations favoured the candidacy of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Governor Umar Zulum as his running mate.
