The exchange rate between the naira and the US dollar opened at ₦415.70/$1 on Friday January 7, 2022 after it closed at ₦416.25 to a $1 on Thursday, January 6, 2022, going by the data at the FMDQ Security Exchange where forex is traded officially.

Today’s Dollar To Naira Exchange At Black Market

Information from Bureau De Change (BDC) indicates that exchange rate for a dollar to naira at Lagos Parallel Market (Black Market) sees players buy a dollar for N565 and sell for N567 on Friday morning, January 7, 2022.

It is important, however, to note that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not recognise the parallel market (black market), having directed individuals who want to engage in Forex to approach their respective banks.

Trading At The Official NAFEX Window

The exchange rate between the naira and the US dollar opened at ₦415.70/$1 on 7th January 2022 after closing at ₦416.25/$1. This shows a difference of -0.37%.

Data from FMDQ shows that forex turnover stands at $113.65 million.
