The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said that the 2023 elections will cost N305 billion.
The Chairman of the commission, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, made this known when he appeared before the Senator Barau Jibrin led Senate Committee on Appropriations.
INEC stated that N100 billion out of the projected expenditure for the elections has already been released, leaving a balance of N205 billion.
Yakubu, explained that the N305 billion is different from N40 billion yearly budget of INEC.
