Senator Shehu Sani has wondered why Nigerian referees were excluded from the list of officials for the African Cup of Nations billed for Cameroon next month.
VANTAGE NEWS reports that African football governing body, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) released a list of referees for the continental tournament some days ago.
Nigeria had only one representative, Samuel Pwadutakam, who will serve as an assistant referee.
Since the 2008 AFCON tournament held in Ghana, CAF has failed to list a Nigerian centre referee.
Reacting, the Senator that represented Kaduna Central, in a tweet, suggested that CAF hates to use Nigerian referees for AFCON.
See tweet below:
Dear AFCON,
Why did you exclude the Nigerian referees?
Why do you hate us this much?
Answer me now!— Senator Shehu Sani (@ShehuSani) December 19, 2021
