Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari has borrowed more than the 14 past leaders of the country.
Omokri, in a tweet on Saturday, said Buhari has borrowed more in six years than the previous presidents of the country.
He stated that Buhari borrows to carry out irrelevant projects such as the railway that linked Nigeria to the Niger Republic.
He tweeted, “Many Nigerians are blissfully unaware of how indebted their country has become under Muhammadu Buhari. Let me put this into perspective. Buhari is the 15th President of Nigeria. But in six years, he has borrowed more than all the 14 Presidents before him COMBINED!
“And what is he using the money for? To build a $2 billion railway in Niger Republic. A country whose entire GDP is less than $14 billion (Google it). Anambra alone has an internal GDP that is three times that of Niger Republic’s. Why has Buhari not built a railway for them? Oloriburuku man!
