Singer, Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, better known by her stage name Simi, has teased her husband, Adekunle Gold over reports that all marriage certificates issued at the Ikoyi registry were invalid.
VANTAGE NEWS reports that social media was agog with reports that a court had declared all marriages at the Ikoyi registry invalid.

In a tweet, Simi, who tagged her husband, asked, “Ngbor, @adekunleGOLD we have been fornicating?”

The Federal Government through the ministry of interior had, however, dismissed the reports.
The ministry’s Permanent Secretary/Principal Registrar of Marriages, Dr. Shuaib Belgore, in the statement which was obtained by VANTAGE NEWS, stated that there were existing court judgments empowering the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Interior to conduct marriages, by virtue of Legal Notices issued pursuant to the Marriage Act.
