The trio of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea all won on Saturday to remain first, second and third respectively in the Premier League title race.

Manchester City managed to beat 10-man Wolves with Raheem Sterling’s 100th Premier League goal which came through a cool finish from the spot.

It was a controversial penalty award – Bernardo Silva’s cross hit Joao Moutinho’s armpit, though Jon Moss and VAR adjudged the ball to have hit enough of the midfielder’s arm.

Similarly at Anfield, it took Mohamed Salah’s penalty for Liverpool to get all three points at against Aston Villa.

Salah won and converted the penalty midway through the second half to secure the three points and maintain the pressure on Premier League leaders Manchester City.

The story was not so different at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea needed two penalties to beat Leeds United 3-2 to remain just 2 points adrift of leaders City and one behind second-placed Liverpool.

At the Emirates, Arsenal put three goals past Southampton to climb to fifth on the table ahead of West Ham who still have a game in hand.
