The police in Lagos have arrested two students allegedly involved in bullying Sylvester Oromoni, a 12-year-old student of Dowen College in Lagos who died last week.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Hakeem Odumosu, on Tuesday, noted that another student and three housemasters were also assisting the police with the investigation.
He said, “One student was invited and two arrested; they are three, so one is assisting us. We just started the investigation. We have two in detention, while the other one is just a witness to throw some light on what happened.
“We are discussing with the family on autopsy; we can’t do autopsy without the family; we can’t do autopsy without the school authority representative too. We can’t do autopsy without the representative of the parents of students being alleged; we need to be fair to everybody, so there is an arrangement to carry out autopsy with every stakeholder in attendance.”
