The leadership and members of UNIBEN Comrade Community have commended one of their own, Comrade Osasere Osifo, for rewarding the academic brilliance and excellence of Henry Ogorchukwu Abanum.

Abanum emerged as the best graduating student of the University of Benin from the convocation held on 26th November 2021.

The group made the commendation in a press release signed by its Secretary, Abraham Jerome Ogbeide, on Tuesday November 30, 2021 and made available to VANTAGE NEWS.

It read in part, “this kind gesture of Comrade Osifo has restored hope and provided a clear answer over the uncertainty of what the future holds for our generation vis-a-vis the societal decadence which has pervaded our social life competing with moral ideologies and deeds.

“No doubt, this welcome development, truly inspiring and a corrective trailblazing step amongst our midst which is worthy of our accolades, emulations, and public commendation.

“We equally commend your extra effort to institutionalize this rewarding act into becoming an annual prize for the best graduating student of the University of Benin and we pledge to work cooperatively with you whenever the need arises to ensure that this becomes a legacy for the good of humanity.

“As a body of articulate intellectuals and advocates of good deeds, we are full of thanks for this gesture, it will once again inspire students to believe in educational reward through hard work which has almost eloped our educational sector over the years.
Words are never enough because our hearts are in wild jubilation as we can boastfully testify that A PROMISE MADE HAS BEEN KEPT as history is made.
