Following an emergency meeting that lasted for five hours, Manchester United Board has decided to sack head coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano.
This is coming after an embarrassing 4-1 loss to struggling Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday.
Fabrizio tweeted that, “Manchester United working on compensation and written agreement with Ole Gunnar Solskjær. It’s gonna be ‘mutual agreement’ to part ways, as reported before. Solskjær will leave, it’s over.
“Official statement expected in the next hours, once paperworks will be completed.”
Solskjaer came under intense fire in the wake of their fifth defeat in seven matches in the English top-flight and the coach admitted his team were “outfought” by Watford.
United’s next match will be against Villarreal on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League and it’s still unclear who will be in charge of the team in that game.
