Afrobeat superstar Davido has announced plan to disburse all 201 million naira he raised through his friends to charity.
According to him, a total of 201 million naira was raised through his friends in the fundraiser which he said started online as a joke, as it wasn’t something he planned earlier.
The musician said he has set up a 5-man committee to oversee the distribution of the whole money which he will add extra 50 million naira of his own to orphanages and foundations across Nigeria.
Davido announced that Mrs. Titi Adebayo will head the disbursement committee he set up. Other members of the committee are; Professor Jonathan Nwosu, who will serve as the secretary, Professors Yohana Asabi, Pastor (Dr.) Ayalabu and Professor Uloma Oluoha.

The Omo Baba Olowo crooner also stated the need for him and his fellow artistes to put aside their egos and come together to do more charity works for the people.
He stated that he would want the fundraising to be annually on his birthdays for the purpose of helping people in need.
