The Super Eagles of Nigeria will on Tuesday (today) host the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde in the make or break final group qualification fixture for next year’s FIFA World Cup to be hosted by Qatar.

Nigeria needs just a point from the game to make it to the play-off stage of the qualifiers while Cape Verde must get the maximum points to top the Super Eagles in Group C.

Recall that the Super Eagles defeated Liberia 2-0 in Tangier, Morocco in the last qualifier played on Saturday while Cape Verde came from a goal down to beat the Central African Republic 2-1.

The Super Eagles are on 12 points while Cape Verde has 10 going into today’s fixture.

Time for the match is at 17:00 (Nigerian Time) on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

Match venue

The match will be played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos State.

It is unclear whether local stations such as AIT or NTA would show the match.
