There was drama outside the premises of the Abuja Federal High Court where the trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu on Wednesday.
The drama started when people carrying Nigerian flag and shouting “one Nigeria” came face to face with IPOB members and Kanu’s supporters who have been outside the court premises chanting “holy holy Nnamdi Kanu is another saviour” as they usually do on the days of their leader’s trial.
The two groups engaged in a singing match trying so hard to raise their voices higher than each other. While Kanu’s supporters were chanting his name as “another saviour”, the one Nigeria group were singing the national anthem in their high voices with their marching band and trumpets.

Kanu’s trial had been adjourned to today by Justice Binta Nyako.
The IPOB leader is facing terrorism-related charges and has since been detained in the custody of the Department of State Services since his re-arrest from a foreign country in June 2021.
