It is the first meeting between both sides in the ongoing 2021/2022 Premier League season.
Manchester City lost their last league game against Crystal Palace by 2-0 at the Etihad stadium while Manchester United secured a 3-0 victory over struggling Tottenham Hotspur to ease pressure on manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
